"B・B・R" is a French restaurant located in Uruma City, Okinawa. This restaurant, which is quietly located in a residential area, is popular for lunches made with Okinawan ingredients such as vegetables and fish from local Uruma City. This time, we will introduce meat. I ordered a double main course which included both fish and fish.
Start with colorful appetizers
The first thing that came was an hors d'oeuvre with local squid and island vegetables. It's gorgeous from the appetizers. The colorful island vegetables scattered on top of the squid, cream cheese, and ratatouille are so pretty. When you sip a little at a time, you can enjoy each flavor while feeling the refreshing stimulation of pink pepper.
Next time I wanted something a little richer, so the second dish, winter melon and island rice risotto, was perfect timing. The cheese soaks into the melty winter melon and is delicious. The chewy island rice had a fun texture, and personally, it was the most impactful part of the entire course.
The next soup is tomato-based with garlic and herbs. It's simple and delicious and will warm your body with every sip.
A hearty double main dish
The main dish was fish meuniere. It seems that they buy fish from the fishing port near the shop every morning, and on this day they only buy high-quality fish such as flathead, mebai, and redfish. All of them are baked by professionals to ensure the skin is crispy and the inside is moist and fluffy. The refreshing scent of basil and the moist texture of eggplant go well together.
Another meat dish. I was also interested in chicken, but this time I chose local pork braised in cream. It's so soft that when you put a fork in it, it loosens up to the fibers. Add to that the gentleness of the white cream and the sweetness of Uruma City's specialty golden sweet potatoes, and you'll be full, but you won't be able to stop eating it.
By the way, for the main course, you can also choose the beef fillet poiret shown in the photo for an additional charge. This is apparently from Australia, not from the prefecture, but it is moist and juicy with no odor. The red wine sauce had a gentle flavor and was delicious till the end.
Assorted desserts from the on-site patisserie
The course concludes with a luxurious dessert consisting of cakes and ice cream from the attached Patisserie R. Most of the dishes used local ingredients, such as moon peach blancmange, island carrot cake, and chocolate fondant topped with nuchi masu meringue, and from the beginning to the end of the course, it was truly French cuisine made with Okinawan ingredients. Sigh, I'm very satisfied. With this content, it's hard to believe that lunch costs 2,427 yen per person (including tax) (3,018 yen for a full course of beef fillet).

The seats inside the restaurant are widely spaced, and the atmosphere is relaxing from start to finish, so many people come here to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. Along with the meal, this quiet space is also a treat for yourself. Please note that you will be quite full after eating, so please be careful not to fall asleep at the wheel on the drive home.
