Speaking of the Ginowan area, the Prince Hotel, which opened its first store in Okinawa, is the talk of the town, but the nearby Moon Ocean Ginowan Hotel & Residence (hereinafter referred to as Moon Ocean) is no slouch either. For lunch, you can relax and enjoy a course meal instead of a buffet. Hotel lunch with a view of the greenery
Moon Ocean's restaurant, Ocean Grill, is on the right hand side after entering the hotel. The front desk staff guided us there with elegant and refreshing greetings.
The restaurant also serves as a breakfast venue for guests staying at the hotel, so there is a large number of seats available. However, there is a loose separation between the bar counter and seats for larger groups, and infection prevention measures are in place.
In particular, the window seats overlooking the lush green garden were perfect for a tropical feel. Beyond the trees was the West Coast Road, but you could enjoy the resort atmosphere without feeling any car traffic.
American-style course meal
The long-awaited lunch started with soup. This time, I ordered the monthly recommended lunch menu and the ladies' lunch set. Both come with soup, salad, bread or rice, and a drink, and only the ladies' lunch comes with dessert. Is it American style to serve crackers with soup? It reminded me of the lunch at Pizza House Shinhonten(Pizza House main branch).
The salad looks more luxurious in the ladies' lunch. I'm sorry for the regular lunch customers, but this is very welcome. The sauce drawn on the edge of the plate is also very beautiful.
After eating bread, the next course was finally the main course. I wondered if there might be a difference between the main course and the salad, but when the main course arrived...
Both the ladies' lunch and the regular lunch were very filling and delicious! I took close-up photos of both, so it may be hard to tell how big they are, but they were topped with three large shrimp, and the fish underneath was plump and meaty. The garlicky tomato sauce had a very American feel to it, which really whet the appetite.
The monthly lunch special, sauteed pork, comes with a caramel-colored sauce and fried double onions. This goes well with rice (they said that ordering rice was the right choice). By the way, the lunch menu changes once a month, so there is demand from repeat customers, mommy friend groups, and lunch meetings.
Ladies' lunch includes sweets
All lunch sets come with a choice of drink (coffee or tea), and the ladies' lunch even comes with a dessert platter, making it a great deal (sorry to all the men out there...). I really liked this restaurant, the food was great and the atmosphere was great.

Head towards the west coast at the Ojana intersection on National Route 58. Turn left at the intersection just before San-A Ginowan Convention City and you will see the hotel. In front of you is the "Gwave Cafe", where you can also work remotely.
There is ample parking in front of the hotel, and it is free. There is no entrance gate, so it was very easy to park.
Many hotels in Okinawa offer buffet lunches, but this is a rare set menu. What's more, it's reasonably priced, starting from 2,000 yen. It's not too crowded, so it's perfect for people who want to enjoy a leisurely lunch.
