Is this a foreign country? Can they speak Japanese? Can I use Japanese yen in the first place? I can't even read the name of the restaurant...! I was confused and went to "Kasthamandap" in Chatan, Okinawa. To be honest, I was really scared when I went in, but I was hooked on the delicious curry and kebab that exceeded my expectations.
The interior has a strong Nepalese feel
The inside of "Kasthamandap" looks like this. It's full of exotic atmosphere, or rather, it gives a very exotic impression. I felt so out of place that I even felt scared, but I was relieved when a local-like staff member warmly welcomed me with a unique intonation, "Irasshaimaseeei!"
By the way, the image above has been adjusted to be brighter, but the actual interior of the restaurant is a little darker. However, after about 10 minutes, your eyes will strangely get used to it, so it's not a problem. When I visited the restaurant, 70-80% of the seats were filled, and most of the people were foreigners who seemed to be US military personnel. A collaboration between Nepal and America set in Okinawa. It's a nice worldview, isn't it?
A comprehensive menu that requires prior study
Well, the menu of "Kastamandap" is as shown above. There is a wide variety of dishes and they all look delicious, so it's hard to decide what to get. Biryani, yakisoba, and momos are also sure to be delicious, but this time I'll go with the classic curry. During lunch time, you can choose from the following great value sets.

A delicious and filling lunch
From the many menus available, I chose the D set, which comes with two types of curry. The volume is amazing!
The curry was delicious, of course, but the quality of the cheese-topped naan was amazing. Cheese overflowing from the fluffy naan! Not only was this great, but it even came with rice on the side! This is definitely the perfect reward for myself after successfully completing a big project.
The other thing I ordered was a huge kebab set with a huge piece of meat. It's hard to tell from this photo, but in reality...
The size of both the kebabs and naan bread was so big that it looked like an eating contest, but this is apparently the norm here. Of course, the food was delicious, so don't worry. The fragrant and juicy grilled chicken was especially delicious. It was even more delicious when I dipped it in the little bit of the mysterious green liquid (mint sauce) in the middle of the photo.
After the meal, we finished off with a glass of lassi. It was a lot more than we expected, but the foreigners ate it all up in no time. Not to be outdone, I ate it all, but to be honest, I was so full that I couldn't work at all after that until the evening. Everyone was amazing. Even though I have a ptosis of the stomach, I still gave in. Next time, I'll order a lighter set and work hard.

Kasthamandap seems to be a chain that has branches in Chatan, Nakanishi, Iso, and Shuri. As with A-Danny, which I introduced previously, these days the restaurant is so far beyond imagination that it feels so good. This is sure to be a memorable place for tourists as well as locals.
